Carry out these steps to enable the DHCP server on your router:

  • Step 1:First, connect your router with the computer and navigate to your web browser
  • Step 2:Type the router’s IP address on the URL to open the router’s settings page.
  • Step 3:Log into settings using your Username and Password or enter the default login credentials(for Username: admin and Password: none).
  • Step 4:Navigate to the Home tab and select the DHCP option from the left side panel.
  • Step 5:The DHCP server setting gets enabled by default.
  • Step 6:If you are connecting to the DHCP server, you need to disable it on the Wi-Fi router.
  • Step 7:Click on the Enabled radio button to enable the DHCP server.
  • Step 8:After enabling the DHCP server on your router settings, you must enter the Starting and Ending IP address.
  • Step 9:Select the value from the drop-down list near for changing the lease time.
  • Step 10:Make sure that the value of the Starting IP address should be less than the Ending IP address.
  • Step 11:Now, click on the Apply button and select the Continue option to save the server settings. 
  • Step 12:At last, the DHCP is enabled on your Wi-Fi router.
