  • Step 3:On a Windows computer, launch the ‘Command Prompt.’ Navigate to the Windows desktop and press the Windows key once. The Start menu opens. Type the word ‘cmd’ without quotes and press Enter. The Command Prompt opens. Type ‘ipconfig /all’ and press the Enter key. Locate the ‘default gateway’ data and make a note of it/copy it. This is the router’s IP address.
