DHCP Not Working On Router - [SOLVED]

  • STEP 1 : First, check the DHCP adapter settings. By default, the PC must be automatically assigned an IP address by the DHCP server or router on the network. There is a possibility where this option could have been disabled. So, check the network adapter settings to ensure it is enabled.  
  • STEP 2 : Verify the DHCP router settings. On the Home network, the router’s DHCP settings manage the IP addresses of network devices. Make sure that the DHCP ending and beginning addresses are similar to the gateway address.
  • STEP 3 : If the problem prevails, then use the Windows Network Troubleshooter. Run the Windows Network Troubleshooter and troubleshoot the issue. It is the simplest way to resolve the internet connection issues. This option will let Windows automatically fix the internet settings.
  • STEP 4 : Right-click on the network connection icon. It is available on the Windows taskbar. Choose Troubleshoot problems. The network troubleshooter detects any kind of settings that might lead to the internet connection issue. If the problem is caused by the DHCP settings, then choose the Apply this fix option to apply any required changes.
